Project description:

In my project, I explore processes of "ludic" translation of Blackness. I am investigating what happens narratively, ludically, and ludonarratively when a black person is played in a video game, but the game continues to assume a white player at the controller or keyboard. As the protagonists in these games continue to actively and especially violently rebel against the racist structures of White Supremacy, I also analyze the intersections between intersectionality, activism, and interactivity.
